"I wasn't born with this body"

We can all breathe a collective sigh of relief, because Molly Sims wasn't "born" with her body the way it is now.

Whew!

In the most recent issue of Shape Magazine, she talks about how she stays in shape, types of workouts she does, and her diet.

One thing that struck me about the article is, to get motivated, she committed to working out one hour a day, for 30 days.  She said if a friend asked her to do yoga, boxing, or any other classes at the gym, she would go.  Also, she did the eliptical and treadmill.  Point being, she did something for 30 days straight.  And, after the 30 days of working out, she felt so great that it motivated her to keep going.

Now, my question is, how in the world can you workout for 30 days straight?
I thought about committing to this kind of challenge, but there's just no way, for me personally.
Having a back injury since I was 16, I am constantly dealing with that and HAVE to have rest days.
Also, rest days and good sleep are essential to a balanced plan.

My initial thought was if I planned to workout 30 days in a row, you might as well get me a prescription for Lortab, Oxycodone, Vicodin and any other hard core narcotics available!  Also, throw in a daily massage and an Epsom salt bath.

I'm sure some people have the genetics that allow them to workout 400 days in a row if they want to.
But, me personally, not so much.
Molly, bless her heart, has some awesome genes.  I'm sure if she wants to workout every day, 3 times a day, she could totally do it.

Now, I am not making excuses to NOT workout.  I workout 4-5 times a week, and I go hard.  Go big or go home.....no reason to make an effort and not put everything into it.

On another note, I posted last week about the "resolutioners" at the gym.
Alyssa at Life of bLyss posted this about "How to Beat the Resolutioners" and it's hilarious!
It's like she read my mind....her post cracked me up.
Go check it out!

How many days in a row do you workout?
Can you workout 30 days in a row?
