Hey there my little bloggy buddies!
Of course, with the holidays, I've been MIA, and I'm sorry!
Things are slowing down and I am back in the groove of "normal" now.
Let's talk about the annual, beloved, and sometimes hated, "New Year's Resolution".
I don't make resolutions, per se. I believe the new year is a time to regain focus, regroup and get back on track in all areas of your life. The holidays aren't an excuse to gain 10 pounds by eating a ton of fattening food and sweets we don't eat on a normal basis. But with that said, the holidays are a time to have a little splurge while you enjoy time and togetherness with family and friends.
I personally made the decision to wake up on New Year's Day and hit the ground running.
I know I should wake up with that attitude every day, but come on, let's get real....
The "I'm so excited I can't stand myself" mantra doesn't work for every one, every day.
Each day of this new year has consisted of a good, hard workout!
Of course, the gym is crazy because everyone else is going to follow through with their resolution to get in shape and lose weight.
At least they will follow through with it until about late January/early February....then the wannabe's will be gone until next January and the us regulars will have the gym back. :)
One thing I have resolved to do this year is Project 365.
It's basically taking one picture each day to document your year.
I follow Sarah at Life {Sweet} Life and she did Project 365 in 2011.
She and I exchanged emails about her experience, she loved it and is probably going to do it again in 2012. Sarah is going to make a book of her Project 365 blog posts, which I think is a fabulous idea.
There are lots of websites and other bloggers that link up and share their Project 365 pictures daily, but after talking with Sarah, I am just going to do it for my own fun and share the pictures weekly on the blog.
So, stay tuned for my first Project 365 post!
Do you make New Year's Resolutions?
