Pictures from the Road.....

I recently took a road trip down to the Lone Star state.......ended up in Denton for a concert.  But along the way, we explored downtown, which is very neat.  I would say that the downtown area is an ecclectic place.  There are boutiques, record shops, antique stores, flea markets, coffee shops, the Opera House, shoe store, and a historic court house that sits in the middle of downtown.....the center of the square, if you will.  I don't know if I would make Denton my vacation destination, but if you're in the area, the downtown area is definately worth a stop, in my opinion!

Here are some pictures from what I saw in and on my way and back from Denton.

This buggy was outside of a flea market....these were the displays for some of the "wares" that were for sale.  I love the record that's just laying there......

More antiques for sale on display in a buggy....

BARBIE!  Who doesn't love Barbie?!?!   I saw this darling lampshade at a boutique in the Winstar World Casino (YAY Chickasaws, ha!) on the way back home......

BOOTS!  Who doesn't love boots?!?!  I just thought these looked cool all lined up on the shelf....and the leopard ones, to die for, SO cute!  (also in the Winstar boutique)

This is the courthouse, it's a very unique building.

The local burger joint, had such a neat, rustic look to it!

This was the sign on the door for Andy's Bar.....it just caught my attention.

The shoe shop, LOVED the sign....it was an old, neon one.  I HEART old neon signs!

Another neon sign....love it.

Fine Arts building.....it's facade was that of an old time theater.  I would assume it was a movie theater or maybe a "play house" back in the day...

POODLES!  PINK ONES!  Who doesn't LOVEEEE poodles?!?!?!  I thought these were a hoot!  Found these beauties at the Winstar boutique as decoration....seriously cute!

Wishing you a FAB Monday!

Until next time, peace out!

Angie
