Steel Magnolias!

Now, I know what you're thinking, total chick flick, right?  Well, you're dang right!  I HEART this movie, I have for years, I couldn't even begin to count how many times I've seen it.  And yes, I proudly own it on DVD :-)  I watched it on New Year's Day while I was at home painting and thought some of the quotes are just TOO GOOD not to share! 

Just to refresh your memory, this is the movie I'm talking about......

Truvy:  "Clairee, you know I'd rather walk on my lips than to criticize anybody, but....."

Clairee Belcher:  "Well you know what they say, if you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me!"

Clairee Belcher:  "Ouiser could never stay mad at me, she worships the quicksand I walk on."

Shelby:  "Relax!  You can't screw up her hair.  Just tease it and make it look like a brown football helmet."

Truvy:  "Oh Sammy's so confused, he don't know whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt...."

Clairee Belcher:  "Ouiser, I'd recognize that penmanship anywhere.  You have the hand writin' of a serial killer." 

Clairee Belcher:  "Ouiser, you almost sound chipper.  What happened today, you run over a small child or something?"

Ouiser:  "He was gonna fire a gun at me!"

M'Lynn:  "They're blanks.  Besides, Drum would never hurt a lady"

Ouiser:  "He's a real gentleman.  I bet he takes the dishes out of the sink before he pees in it!"

I hope you got a giggle out of these.  There are ~SO~ many good quotes from this movie, makes me want to watch it again!!!!!!
