Herbs On Main Street

A few weeks ago I had my very first Herb Festival experience.

Jenks has an herb festival every year and apparently, it is the BOMB!
My best friend is GA GA over the herbs so, I accompanied her to her little paradise.  I didn't manage to get a pic of her in full drool mode over the herbs, but there was a lot to see and do at the herb festival!

There were "fair" food vendors, kids activities, flowers, plants, vegetables, art and of course, herbs. :)

The Tomato Man had a TON of varieties of the tomato plant for sale.
WHO KNEW there were SO MANY different kinds of tomatoes?!?
The Tomato Man had a handout that you could study and learn all of your different types of tomatoes.....
If I remember correctly, the handout was three or four pages in length.
(Ahem, really?!?!  4 pages?!?!  It's just tomatoes!  To each their own, I guess...hehe)
I don't eat tomatoes, therefore, even more reason for me not to know how many different types there are.
I'm still a bit baffled at how many types there are.....I'm not hatin' on the maters, I am not over how many varieties there are!!!

.Here are some of the tomato plants.....all 463 of varieties of them....ha!

It was a cloudy and a bit cool that day.....but at least the rain held off so that all could enjoy the festival.

Just outside the Art Studio, off of Main Street, was a highly colorful, decorative, half mannequin.
If you have an extra mannequin hanging around the house, you can paint it and use it as a very decorative vase for your greenery or flowers.

If you missed it, you will have to wait until next April to check it out in J-Town.....

Until next time, peace out!
