It's no secret I love to decorate! I thought I'd do something a little fun and do a little blog "series" of some of the decor of my house.
I'll start with my kitchen/dining room area. :-)
This is the top of my refrigerator. I love me some peacock feathers and black and white toile! I mean really, I heart toile.....you will figure that out as the tour goes on, hehe.
I'm loving this clock! It's next to my refrigerator. It was solid black on the outer edges when I bought it, but I thought it needed a little softer look. So, I just dry brushed some gold paint on it, and ta-da! Is kind of hard to tell from the picture, but it used to be SOLID black. The plaque to the right is one that I painted.
This is my plate rack just below the clock/plaque.
Crosses and more crosses. I heart crosses too. I have A LOT of them in my home. The large one in the middle is made from wire and rhinestone looking beads, in clear, black and brown-ish. The small one on the left is wire and black beads. The small one on the right is made of some rusted wire....very neat.
Feathers and more feathers! This is a feather wreath I actually bought in the Halloween section at Target, but it's black with a few green feathers in it, therefore, I am leaving it up year round! It's on the back of the door that leads to my garage.

More crosses.....this is my entry way. The picture in the middle is a little angel. Ya know, cause that's what my Momma calls me :-).
Small corner shelf in my dining room.....and of course, tan/black toile and leopard pictures. I made both of these frames, just took the frames, and put scrapbook paper in them, and there you go.
I LOVE this "globe" thing that's on top of my corner shelf. Don't know exactly what it's called, but I love it.
Crosses on the corner shelf....I told you, I heart crosses!
More feathers (on the corner shelf)
These are a some of my few pieces of Japan Ware (as I think it is called, I could totally be wrong). My Momma collects it. The biscuit barrel on the left was my Mom's and she gave it to me. The fruit/basket weave pitcher I purchased at a flea market. It also has matching cups/glasses (not pictured). But I like my Japan Ware! The picture frame has the official Choctaw Rolls (containing Choctaw and Chickasaw Tribes), roll numbers of my great-grandmother.
This tray is in the center of my dining room table. My dining room isn't really a dining room, it's more of a nook, I would say. Anyway, I made all of the glass ware.....not technically, but constructed them from Dollar Tree items. I got the idea from this blog. They're not exactly like the ones in the blog, but they're all Dollar Tree bowls/vases and the ones with the tan bases are candlesticks I had and spray painted.
I think my little feather balls look so cute in this jar! :-)
This is the top of my curio cabinet. More crosses, as you can see, hehe.
Some greenery, a picture of the fam and a toile tile are on display here.
Here is a my curio cabinet. The top shelf has lots of angels, the second shelf has a lot of Native American "stuff", the third shelf has some more Japan Ware, and the bottom contains Japan Ware and collectibles from grandparents past. I really love it that I have a few pieces that were part of them and were in their homes.
Next to the cabinet is a tree with lights. I love me some lights too! All of the White House trees have been outfitted with new, economical LED lights. There are two peacock-ish birds that live in this tree, can you see them?
In my curio cabinet, are my Friends of the Feather collection. You used to could purchase them at Hallmark, and there was a local Indian (Native American) store that carried them, but I believe they're no longer being made. Behind the little figures is a Frankhoma Pottery trivet with the Cherokee alphabet.....(even tho I'm Chickasaw, ha). I think this came from one of my grandparent's house.

I hope you enjoyed this leg of the White House Decor Tour! There will be more to come, I promise, so stay tuned!
Until next time, peace out!

Omigosh Ang....I have always wanted to see your house cause I knew it would be decorated beautifully. I especially love the angel pictures with the crosses that surround the mirror.....love that idea!! Did I see the 2 crosses I gave you anywhere??? Point them out to me...I know they are there somewhere. You are so gifted and talented. Loving each blog you post more and more! Keep them coming! ;-))
